About Me

After vacationing in Duck since I was born, I moved to the Outer Banks with my family from Arlington, VA in 1993. Going from the big city to Duck, NC was quite the adjustment. However, as the majority of home owner's on the Outer Banks would agree, there is no place quite like this beach community.
After attending my first 2 years of high school in Manteo, I moved to Raleigh where I spent my last 2 years at St. Marys boarding school. My entreneurial spirit began at St. Marys when I started my own jewelry company, LadyMaye.com, my senior year. I went on to attend the College of Charleston in South Carolina where I graduated with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. During College I interned with Merrill Lynch and with Celebrity Handbag designer, Mary Norton, where I worked in production and was then promoted as the Marketing Assistant during my senior year.

I moved back to the Outer Banks in 2004, married my high school sweetheart, Adam Sakers, who teaches 5th Grade at Kitty Hawk Elementary School, bought my first house and began working as a mortgage loan officer. After selling home loans for 2 years and growing my jewelry clientelle to include over 80 boutiques & museums across the country and oversees in Hong Kong, Japan & Saudi Arabia I realized working in real estate on the Outer Banks was what I really wanted to be doing.

I began in real estate as a site sales agent at a local Active Adult Community and worked hand-in-hand with a local developer. Since joining Coldwell Banker in May 2008, I became the fastest Coldwell Banker Seaside Agent EVER to graduate from our "success center" (based on sales volume), I have received the Coldwell Banker Outstanding Performance Award for the months of July, August and September 2008, I became ranked at the #8 agent out of 57 agents based on 2008 closed volume, and I am currently in the top third of all MLS agents on the entire Outer Banks based on sold volume for 2008.

My husband and I are very active in our community and church. We serve as the Youth pastors with Church of the Outer Banks, and help out with local events through our church and the local YMCA. We love to travel, surf, read and eat at the great local restaurants in our spare time.
I am excited to show you all the Outer Banks has to offer as I have experienced it for over two decades!
